Issue 103. What is that thing in the sky?

DWELLINGS, LAUGHS, BOOTS, CAP

Good Afternoon and Welcome,

To issue No.103. I wonder if it will still be there by the time this is finished? Granted, it’s difficult to tell, but this thing takes far longer to write than it does to read…

First, a word from this week’s sponsor

Its the recycling event of the year! Don’t miss it.

It’s The Signs of South Kerry 🎺🎺🎺

After the tanker load of entries last week, one for the purists this week. Where’s this sign?

Congratulations to last week’s winners

  • Dave Shortall

  • David fitz

  • Noreen K

  • eileen

  • MO

  • Teresa Walsh

Congratulations to all, who correctly identified that it was, of course, the sign for the Supervalu station in Cahersiveen. First time ever I think that everyone who entered got it right.

Auntie Agnes’ Angle

She is risen.

Dear Reader,

I am currently enjoying some time away. I’m in a beautiful historical city. So clean and peaceful. I am struck by how energetic and happy the people are that I am meeting. I’m sure the sun certainly helps with an energetic and playful approach to life, and I imagine living within a more progressive political culture helps a good deal too! I’m sure the political scene is far more complex than my idealistic projections… but their resistance to the rise of the far-right really is hopeful and inspiring.
It makes me wonder about the rhetoric we are being consistently fed at home. And the impact of this doom on our physical and mental health.
I stand with the recent protests. We need to come together and demand a change to how we are being treated and influenced.
It’s a matter of urgency; it is a public health emergency.
I also lit some candles for the rain to stop!
