More opinions required by the council
First off, today is the last day, to have your say, on the South Kerry Greenway, proposed route options. You can have your say here. There’s not much between the routes as far as I can see, you might want to ask, as a committed Oracler has, how the traffic gets from the old railway bridge to any of the proposed routes. I’ve been asking for the last three weeks and will continue to do so.
Remember the “Daniel O’Connell Quarter”? How could you forget? Well, it’s all here for you to opinionate upon. Please do so.
And if you really want to get your feelings out there, the council have also asked for your comments on a project of convenience for the fair green.
It’s The Smells of South Kerry 🎺🎺🎺

Auntie Agnes Answers

Or does she?
Hi Agnes,
Everyone knows that the Irish are the most intelligent people on the planet. Likewise, everyone knows that Kerry people are the most intelligent in Ireland. And of course everyone knows that the people of South Kerry are the most intelligent in Kerry. However, I have long wondered which people (by parish, village or town) are the most intelligent in South Kerry? Perhaps you could answer this?
Dear Reader,
You've handed me quite the hot potato with this question! I have to say this is exactly the sort of query that could start a row in every pub from Cahersiveen to Castlecove. And haven't I seen brilliant minds scattered across our whole patch - from them quantum physicists on Valentia Island to the poets of Caherdaniel and the shrewd traders of Sneem?
The truth is, the minute I declare any one place the smartest, I'll have angry letters flooding the Oracle's office faster than the River Inny in winter! And haven't I enough trouble keeping peace between Mrs. O'Sullivan and Mrs. O'Sullivan (the other one) over their competing brown bread recipes? So I'll say what my dear departed mother used to say: "The smartest person is the one who knows they still have something to learn from everyone else."
For all those out there accusing me of our Agnes being some sort of AI robot, the nonsense above should be irrefutable evidence that she is very much real & will be back next week.
Want to be healed? Then please, please just
