It’s The Signs of South Kerry 🎺🎺🎺
Another reader submitted one for this week, suggestions always welcome, please do send them in. Particularly for next week as it’s tricky taking pictures of signs in South Kerry when I’m in the UK for the week.
Where’s this sign?

Congratulations to last week’s Winner 🍰🍰🍰

Once again, a man outstanding in his field.
Auntie Agnes Answers

Agnes (finally) was given this problem: When do evening shadows start to fall? We should be told!
Anges Answers: Dear Reader,
Thank you for your woe. This is a very complex question that one could answer on many levels . When do evening shadows start to fall??
In terms of the time of year, evening shadows begin to fall in October, with us celebrating our connection with them at Halloween. I am sorry no one has shared this with you before - we assume it is common knowledge!
These shadows hang around until late January when we begin to feel a stretch in the evening, stretching the shadows until they disappear!
Secondly, this woe may be referring to periods in your life when shadows seem to loom large. I’d recommend you get to know your shadow and get comfortable hanging out with them until brighter days reappear- which they always do!
Of course, you may also be referring to your stage of life - here again I recommend making friends with these shadows - they are here to teach us something!
To conclude, whatever Shadows you are referring to Reader, acceptance and kindness are key! Shadows always pass!
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas, full of Craic and Ceol

Isn’t it a beauty?

Aren’t we lucky to have Tim?
Welcome to our new Councillor Tommy Cahill

Tommy Cahill, son of newly elected TD Michael Cahill, was co-opted onto Kerry County Council to replace his father this week. This marks over 60 years of Cahill’s representing Kerry on the council. Add this to the Healy-Raes and we’ve had the two political dynasties representing South Kerry for longer than the state itself. An impressive record for both families no doubt, but isn’t variety supposed to be the spice of life?
