Issue 39. Red, Red Wind, don't take our heads
Books, Darts, REENROE
Good Morning and Welcome,
To issue No.39: This week, A Hail Mary effort. I hope my electricity stays around long enough for me to fini…
South Kerry by the numbers:
066 71 83 588: Is Kerry County Council’s emergency phone number. It will open later this evening and remain throughout the storm.
1800 372 999: Is the Powercheck fault reporting/emergency line.
1800 278 278: Is Irish Water’s emergency number.
First, a word from this week’s sponsor
So empty
And whatever happened, to the planning on Reenroe?

You’ll remember of course the grand plans, well I know there are many out there that wouldn’t call them grand, ambitious plans then, for the derelict Reenroe Hotel. Obsessive readers might even remember that the council requested further information (an awful lot of further information) and that this further information was due to be submitted by the 18/1/25.
So, what’s happened?
An extension to prepare the further information was requested at the beginning of December, was granted a week later & the new information deadline is now 26/4/25. A day over 11 months since the application was first submitted. I’m genuinely excited to see what happens next.
We Should Celebrate the Open in Close Season.

For those of you generous enough to support the Oracle, your first bonus article is coming next week, potentially before the magnets arrive.
For those of you thinking there wasn’t much to it this week, it’s probably because I haven’t internet, electricity or potentially a roof over my head.
If you have any ideas, events, suggestions, feedback, stories, characters, or dramas that you think should be in this email, just hit reply.
Good luck, be well & stay safe.
