It’s The Signs of South Kerry 🎺🎺🎺

So, I’m all about inclusivity & balance. Last week, it was really difficult, this week, well. If you don’t get this you are either blind or don’t live in South Kerry. Thanks to the roving reporter who sent this one in (you just cannot get the staff).

So. Where’s this?

Congratulations to last weeks winners

The sign-spotting siblings strike again, highly impressive.

Will we start a directory?

A couple of weeks ago I found myself in conversation with avid newsletter fan & all round saviour of souls Fr Sean. He mentioned he was lately a fan of the ‘celebrate the open in close season’ bit', given he’s relatively new to the parish, he was happy to see so many were serving us during the close season. That got me thinking.

As many of you out there are gearing up for the start of the new season & I have a website doing very little, will we start the South Kerry Business Directory? Now, as with all things Oracle, I’m keen for this to be a bit different & actually useful. So less a list of businesses, more a handy who does this thing I need? Where will I find these things? type of thing, For example; I’d say I was here 5 years before I was aware that Corkery’s Hardware in Cahersiveen have a world beating selection of hoover bags on offer.

So, if that sounds like a thing you’d like to be in, list your business below

Auntie Agnes Can’t Help

If you don’t tell her your problems. She’s getting bored now & as we all know, life is not full of sunshine at the moment. So if you’ve got a problem that needs solving just

The Oracle’s Twentieth Cartoon

Must be one from the archives or there’s a different climate entirely in West Cork. Mighty stuff Tim, once again.

For those of you generous supporters of the Oracle, still no bonus article but many of you now have magnets, the rest didn’t make it out last week but will be on the way next week. Hit reply to tell me what to write about.

Special mention to the inaugural meeting of the Skellig Coast Beekeepers Association. I’ve been to a good few meetings, but never one as well run as this was on Wednesday. Fine work Denis and well done to all those who came, next one is on the 19th of March, 8pm, don’t be late!

If you have any ideas, events, suggestions, feedback, stories, characters, or dramas that you think should be in this email, just hit reply.

Good luck, be well,

Dave
