Issue 67. Queen Of The Goats
Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah, Oh Yeeeeeaah
Good Afternoon and Welcome,
To issue No.67. It’s one of those weeks where life has gotten in the way. So I won’t keep you
South Kerry by the numbers
18: Wet days were recorded at Valentia Observatory in July, which means, you’ve guessed it, we had more wet days than anywhere else in the country
15.9: °C was our mean air temperature for the month. Making it on eof the warmest Julys for us, yet one of the coolest places in the country (tell us something we don’t know)
109.4: mm of rain fell in total throughout July, but we didn’t let it phase us.
First, a word from this week’s sponsor

So here we are at the festival of Lunasa as the wheel of the year goes around. We are so happy to announce that we have the Queen of the Goats 2025. It's incredibly exciting this year because the last four winners are running for the ultimate prize this year. They are Ruby Wax, Azzy, Harold and Gandalf.
it's very exciting and a lot of people are really invested in these 4 beautiful animals. One problem is poor Azzy passed away earlier, this year, due to complications at birth - so her little daughter Tonto is going to take her place.
We will be going live at around 7pm (follow the link)and look forward to having you watch in. https://www.facebook.com/events/756855690036571/
Where else could you see Ruby Wax & Gandalf go head to head? You’d be clinically insane to miss it.
Do the best made plans always go awry? Or were they not best made at all?

You’ll remember of course, a few weeks ago we had the planner’s decision on the development at Reenroe. No doubt some of you will remember, as a betting man, I advised my money would be on an appeal. I’d just like to take this opportunity to advise you to never, ever, take any of my advice, as the appeal deadline was 4/08 & as of today, no appeal has been made. So looks like here ends another chapter in the potential developments at Reenroe, sad really.
Some of the more enthusiastic Oracle botherers out there have been badgering for updates on the proposed changes at The Sea Lodge, Waterville. For those less interested in reading notices, they have an application in currently to reconfigure, adding an additional 7 bedrooms & a gym. Many of you cynical souls out there have been wondering whether this was for the hotel, or something else? I can confirm you aren’t alone, as the planners have requested further information asking pretty much exactly the same things.

Excellent to see some new and old names in our winners list. For those of you who didn’t know (maybe a visit to the optician is in order) it was of course, the shiny new sign for Waterville by the Inny Bridge.
We will start a directory

Auntie Agnes Answers

To paraphrase Whitney Houston, we have nothing, nothing, nothiiiing, if we don’t have Agnes. I can confirm, she will return, next week. I know I said that last week, but she definitely will be back next week. In the meantime, put her to work will you? What needs healing? Just
