Best Pint in South Kerry 2025
So, our first voting update from what I’m calling the halfway mark of this year’s competition

Whilst The Lobster have crept into the lead once again, there are some notable differences from last year’s voting; there’s a much wider distribution of votes. We have two new locations in Driftwood & Staigue Fort House & both The Royal, Valentia and the Fishermans, Portmagee have missed out on the top 5 by a whisker. Exciting stuff!
So. You’ve seen the numbers so far, don’t agree? You can be the difference

Greenway Opening Date Confirmed!!!
Just in case you missed it. Cllr Tommy Cahill has confirmed that the first section of the South Kerry Greenway, between Kells Post Office and Kells Station, will open on the 19th of December. Sadly, this is no Oracle exclusive; he chose to speak with The Kerryman about it this week. It does strike me as a little bit odd, given the widespread berating of Kerry County Council over the project, that they wouldn’t want to do a bit of announcing themselves. Will there be an opening ceremony?
Cllr. Cahill also spoke to Jerry on Radio Kerry this week & said he hoped the whole Greenway would be open by the end of 2026/beginning of 2027… Seems just about as far-fetched as my earlier prediction.
I’ll see if he’ll speak to us this week.
It’s The Signs of South Kerry 🎺🎺🎺
