Dear Reader
Happy Friday…!
It is very nearly Valentine’s Day, the global day of love & romance…. It can be exciting and fulfilling in new relationships or touching and sincere in existing relationships. However, there has been many tears shed due to a forgotten Valentine’s card. Feelings of genuine hurt can surface, a deep feeling of not being appreciated or cared about. It is important to acknowledge this, but please don’t get stuck there!
Zoom out, consider your life overall, check how much love is in your life already, this can come from friends, partners, family, children or pets.
However, the most important source of love is the one we have for ourselves. How do you show yourself love every day?
Let’s stop out sourcing our love and start giving it to ourselves.
Love you can feel everyday, everywhere.!!
Happy Valentine’s Day, beautiful people
Happy Valentine’s Day, Agnes.

This week, Tim moves away from his specialist subject. They’d definitely medal in fairness…

Thanks, Tim.
Deenish Island in the High Court

Lice with your salmon, Sir?
The salmon farm on Deenish Island is being taken to court by Friends of the Irish Environment (FIE) regarding the reinstatement of its licence after their appeal was granted in October last year. A decision that completely disregards the study published in June of last year, definitively linking salmon farm aquaculture & its effect on the prevalence of sea lice in wild salmon populations.
In simple terms, FIE are arguing that this licence can’t have been reinstated, as the licence in question actually expired circa 2009 & the farm has been operating without a licence since. All while the local fishing stocks are decimated and the once thriving Waterville fishing tourism industry all but obliterated.
What can we do about it? I’m not sure. What should we do about it?
