Auntie Agnes’ Angle

Dear Reader
Happy Friday to you! It feels like a different country with all this sunshine and blue skies.
I am really struck by how fast the drudgery of all the greyness and rain gets forgotten because of some lovely sunny weather.
It feels really good to be able to go for a walk without waders and rain gear.
I can feel my energy increase and with it my hope and my capacity.
Along with saying novenas for more of this weather, I am pondering on how I can store some of this sunshine energy to keep this lovely energy going.
What are the things that will help me & you come out of hibernation?
I feel tuning into the cycle of life helps me, watching baby animals being born, flowers beginning to bud and open, jobs to be done in the garden? Getting in tune with nature and the outdoors, becoming part of the cycle of life. We are after all animals too. Walk barefoot around the garden, on the beaches.
Stretch your body, minds & souls.
It’s spring, start sowing your seeds now to get yourself ready for a glorious summer. Like the birds who have begun to sing beautifully this week!
Get out there!
Thanks Agnes.

This week, Tim, well, see for yourself

Thanks Tim, a fitting tribute.
Best Coffee in South Kerry

So, the competition is absolutely up and running. As requested, we now have a standalone category for hot chocolate & 9 new venues added. The biggest question that has come out of the votes for me is Adam’s kitchen. Is this a place? Or is it someone’s kitchen? Or both? Also, are there mochas available?
Although it’s far too early in the season for a league table, The Lazy Cat Cafe has taken up pole position overall, and Tide & Thyme are very much frontrunners for both the cake and ambience categories.
The official mocha judging panel is continuing its due diligence and can report that should you choose to visit Goldens of Kells, you could avail yourself of a very fine mocha.
Who will top the table?
Everything Else
